Our Story

Built with Strength.

Established in Love.

Maintained with Heart.

Continued with Pride.

Our Mission:

Vitality wants to create a safe, encouraging atmosphere full of FUN and education.
We want our students to develop their movements and skills and
progress into a complete, well balanced, well educated athlete.

Our Goal.

Vitality would like to be a safe and encouraging atmosphere for children to develop their skills and progress into a complete athlete one practice at a time. We value the commitment that the athlete and their family has made to the sport that they are involved with and vow to provide quality service to those who we have the privilege to work with.

Our History.

Vitality Gymnastics, formally Elite Mind & Body Gymnastics, changed ownership in July of 2018. We established a new name, a new look and a new presence within the community.

The definition of Vitality is the state of being strong and active; energy. We have tried to base a culture around the quote: “Taking one step at a time with complete attention and energy brings vitality and creativity to all you do!”

Our Culture.

Principles we live by:
  1. Safety...keep everyone safe and apply safe principles
  2. Encouraging...To be encouraging to one another
  3. Kindness...To be kind to anyone we meet
  4. Respect...To be respectful to every individual unconditionally
  5. Trust...To be trustworthy to those who trust in us
  6. Honest...To be honest with ourselves and those who we train
  7. Teamwork...Working together to create innovative ways of building a healthy community
Principles we teach:
  1. Safety - We teach them about the facility, the sport and their bodies
  2. Respect - Respecting parents, staff and friends
  3. Trust - Trusting that Parents and staff want the best for them
  4. Communication - Sharing feelings, goals and injuries with Parents, Staff and Friends
  5. Integrity - Working to get better even if no one is watching.
  6. Perseverance - Never giving up on themselves
  7. Discipline - Putting in the work, sticking with something and following the direction.
  8. Fun - Being healthy and staying healthy can be fun!
  9. Balance - Health and wellness, school and family all come before activity
If you love to sing or dance, flip or jump, stretch or tone up, this is the place for you!

Our Team

Leslie Garman
Founder of Vitality Athletic Center

Leslie started the sport at the later age of 8. She climbed the ladder quick and become a Nationally recognized competitor at the age of 11 competing in Level's 8 and 9, until retiring to be a High School student.  Once she retired from the sport competitively she continued to coach while starting to pursue other sports through High School. She went to Wright State University on a Cheerleading Scholarship, but received her Bachelors of Science in Business from Franklin University.  Since college, she has started a family with 3 daughters that share the same love of the sport as she does. She believes gymnastics is the best foundation a child can have in athletics. It is a full body activity that builds coordination, confidence, and strength in the mind and body. She wanted to create an environment that she could share her joy and passions with others, hoping that together we can be healthy and active while making friends in the process!

"We want to create an atmosphere where everyone is comfortable to let go of their inhibitions and enjoy moving to the beat of their own drum. We pride ourselves on keeping movement beautiful in a modern, yet modest way.
We credit Jesus with everything good that we are, including our talents and passions and want to represent him in everything we do!"
