STAFF
This guidance is intended for planning purposes. Employees and Gym Families should use this planning guidance to help identify risk levels and to determine any appropriate control measures to implement. Additional guidance may be needed as COVID-19 outbreak conditions change, including as new information about the virus, its transmission, and impacts, becomes available. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION 4 The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides the latest information about COVID-19 and the global outbreak: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov.
- Any contractor/staff member working with Vitality Athletic Center will be required to wear a mask, until further notice. If for any reason an instructor needs to remove their mask for the purpose of being able to give direction or for a health need, they are to remain 6 ft from any student to staff member, until they can resume wearing their mask.
- All instructors are to wash their hands before each class they teach.
- Instructors are to be temperature checked before starting their classes. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4+ will not be permitted into the building until: their temperature is below 100.4 for 72 hours without the use of fever reducing aide AND they have no symptoms of COVID-19
- Any staff member that has come in contact with a known person with a positive test is to follow the CDC guidelines of when you are able to be around others. Please report to Vitality Management immediately, so that we can do our part in making sure we communicate to anyone who may need to know. Please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/end-home-isolation.html for more information.
- If an instructor is sent home or unable to teach class, we will make every effort to find a substitute for class. If a substitute is not found and class would need to be cancelled we will make every effort to find a time to make it up within 2-4 weeks of the class missed.
- Participants (6+) need to enter with a mask on and wear until class starts.
- Participants can choose to wear a mask. However, as exercise is an exception to the governor's mask mandate, we are not requiring a mask to be worn while actively exercising. If they chose to wear one, they may be asked to remove it by the instructor if they feel vision or breathing may be impaired during the exercise.
- All participants will be required to have their temperature checked upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4+ will not be permitted into the building until: their temperature is below 100.4 for 72 hours without the use of fever reducing aide AND they have no symptoms of COVID-19.
- Any child that is sent home due to fever or illness will follow our missed class policy in our Handbook.
- No Shoes are allowed in the facility, except in the lobby upon entry.
- All participants are required to wash their hands before starting class and after each event, which will also be reiterated by the instructor.
- Participants are to carry their belongings out to their parents to avoid shoes in the facility.
- All public water fountains are still closed, so please be sure a participant has water available to them during class.
- We will remain a drop-off facility. If Parents will be entering the building for any reason, they are to wear a mask and shoes are to be removed before entering the gym or locker room area.
- Parents, if for any reason you are being asked to quarantine/isoltate or someone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19, please follow the guidelines set by the CDC and do not send your child to class.
- If your child is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 set by the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html) please do not send your child to class.
